There are 2 ways to sell your products on Earth Gaia. You can list your items as a buy it now option. When you list an item as buy now, there is no bidding process involved. The bid option is only available for "reverse listings". If you choose the bid option, buyers will be able to place bids on your item during the duration time that you have chosen to run your service. Keep in mind that the starting price of your service should be the least amount that you are willing to accept for your work. Should your listing close for the starting bid/offer, you are required to sell it to the highest bidder.To learn more about "reverse listings", visit the description listing posted in "Reverve Listings".

With the buy now option, the buyer can purchase your item immediately for the listed price.

To list your item on Earth Gaia simply click on the “Sell” link found on the header navigational bar. The listing process is split up into several main sections, notably:-

• Category selection>You can choose up to 2 categories to list your item in for added exposure.
  
• Item Details>Describes your item to potential buyers.
  
• Auction Settings>You have 3 choices to choose from>Full listing/choice of bid or buy now>Quick Listing>Shorter listing steps>Buy Out Item>Buy Now
  
• Shipping and Payment>You can set your shipping preferences in your account so you will not be required to enter them each time you list an item.
  
• Listing preview>Let's you preview your listing prior to placing it on the site.
  
• Listing confirmation>Terms reminder before placing your item on the site.
  

The listing process is developed in such a way that you are guided through every step seamlessly.

The first part of the process is to choose the category you wish to list your item in, this can be revised at any time by using the “Previous Step” navigation button.

Earth Gaia is different from all the other online marketplaces because we know that humans can be responsible, if given the chance. Therefore we have decided to allow our members to add active links in their listing descriptions. This means that you can add active links to YOUR other Earth friendly websites or to informational sites that offer a longer and more effective description of the item that you have listed.

IMPT: Please do not place active links as a direct method of advertising other websites. In other words...DON"T OVER DO! As this causes our fees to increase which in turn means that your membership fees will increase. If in doubt, please contact us first.

Moving on to step three, this is the biggest stage of the listing process. On this step you can set the following:-

· Listing type:-

Standard Listing

This is a single quantity auction

Dutch Listings

Dutch listings enables you to list a multiple quantity listing, for example if you have 100 pens to sell you can list all of these together in a single lot. Bidders will be able to select how many they wish to bid for.

This field is only active if listing a Dutch auction, please see above for an explanation of this listing type

· Listing Starts At:-

This requires you to enter the minimum amount you are willing to accept.

The following options are available to you , these will highlight your item on site to ensure they reach more visitors:-

§ Category featured..0.25

§ Bold text..0.10

§ Bolded item..0.10

· Set start/end time:-

You can either opt to list your item right away and set a defined number of days for it to be live for or you also have the option to define your own custom start/end time.

To accompany your item you can either upload images from your local computer or enter the URL of an image(s) hosted elsewhere. You are allowed up to 4 image uploads per listing at no additional cost. You MUST click on the" UPLOAD IMAGE" before your image will be uploaded.

· Media upload:-..$1.00

In addition to images you can also upload media/video files, please note only .avi/.mpeg/.mov are supported.

· Auto Re-List media files..$1.00

For convenience you can opt to have your items automatically re-listed for you, options are available to allow you to select whether the item should be re-listed if sold and how many re-list attempts should be made.

On the next step you can set your shipping and payment preferences including your shipping rates and available methods of delivery.

Proceeding on, you can then review the listing and make changes if required, please note you can still edit your listing once live via the members area.

The Item watch features notifies you of newly listed item which contain keywords you have chosen. For example if you are looking for a turquoise necklace you could enter in those keywords from within your members area area. Each time a new auction is listed containing those keywords you will be notified via email.

“Buy Now” is used to purchase the item immediately.

The “Buy Now” option will appear on the item details page, you will be asked to confirm your intention to buy out the item before the sale is concluded.

After you place your order, you have entered into a binding agreement to pay for your order in a timely manner. Please visit your sellers policy pages for more information.

To create your account choose the “Register” link on the header navigational bar or use any of the links available on the home page. Registering is fast, free and easy and you can always delete your account at any time without any long term commitments.

When registering you will be asked to complete a short form which includes standard information such as your contact details, preferred login credentials etc.

Mandatory fields include:-

· Name

· City

· State/Province/county

· Zip/Post Code

· Phone Number

· Birthday

· Username & Password

· E-Mail address

· Confirmation of terms an conditions acceptance

Once registered you will receive E-Mail confirmation.

Click on the link contained in your registration email to verify your account.

IMPT: make sure that you enter your paypal email address in BOTH the "Direct Payment Settings" AND "Manage Account" both are located in your account management. These fields must be completed to insure that you receive payment for your sold items.

Purchasing an item you are interested in couldn’t be easier, when viewing the item details page you will have two areas from where you can purchase your item/items. One next to the item details and a second at the bottom of the page.

Once done you will be asked to review your purchase and you will also be able to view vital item details such as the shipping conditions before confirming your bid. To place your order, simply click on the “Buy Now” button.
